2 Day Handgun Course

This objective based course is designed to develop the necessary skills to safely and effectively employ the handgun in a variety of situations. Students will undergo an in-depth training curriculum that will give them the confidence, experience and skills to increase their shooting ability. Topics that will be covered in this comprehensive course include:

Handgun safety, characteristics and accessories
Fundamentals of marksmanship
Levels of awareness
High and low ready positions
Single target engagement
Multiple target engagement
Shot progression
Recoil management

Sight management
Draws from the holster
Administrative, tactical and speed reloads
Malfunctions – Immediate-action/remedial-action
Man vs. Man
Training from “Behind the power curve”
Speed shooting
Steel challenge

2005 Course Dates:	July 25-26, August 15-16, September 12-13, October 10-11, November 7-8, November 28-29
Course Location:	Virginia Beach, VA
Course Cost:	$400 per student
Gear Requirements:	Handgun, holster, belt, three magazines, magazine pouches, eye protection, hearing protection, appropriate cold/wet weather clothing.
Ammunition Requirements:	1000 rounds of handgun ammunition
